Professionals Who Don't Know

Lots of "professionals" simply don't know what to do to rewire the nervous system, and "therapy" gets bogged down in convoluted theories about "all the reasons why." These conceptual approaches, like shadow work or internal family systems, inadvertently generate ego fixations.

Limited Approaches

Some insist it must be a body-based, "bottom-up", somatic approach. Others hail cognitive behavioral therapy as the only way to go.

An ALL-Around Approach

After decades of personal and professional experience, ranging from outside-the-box hardcore Ayurveda and yoga to inside-the-box mainstream clinical psychology, I've come to the common-sense experience that an ALL-around approach is best – not just for resolving "trauma" but to actually be happy because how many people do you know are? Truly?

It makes sense that there is no quick fix, but it also isn't as hard and doesn't take as long as others might think. I tell my clients all the time, "my job is to work myself out of a job," and anyone who doesn't offer a similar path to tangible results is likely well-intentioned but just doesn't know what to actually do to help you get where you want to be.

Without a truly whole-istic approach that creates an octave level of change, where one is no longer coping with their problems because they are in a place where the problem no longer exists, we get stuck in an endless game of whack-a-mole, where we fix one problem, and another pops up.

And while the entire Hierarchy of Everythings is important, the journey home to one's True Self – unleashing the healing nectars and radiant qualities of one's most optimal State of Being – is the only lasting way to heal and thrive.

YOU are a SUN ☀️

The sun itself does not have a shadow, and it doesn't matter how well you can describe the shadows or understand where they come from (typical therapy), from the perspective of the sun, they are irrelevant and insignificant. YOU are a SUN. You are not the shadows.

And if you are doing a type of therapy or healing work that doesn't include deliberate processes and practices for recognizing your True Nature as a Sun, then you will always get lost in the dark.

Without that, nothing else will work, which, I'm guessing, you've noticed.

ACCEPTING - RELEASING - EMBRACING - CHOOSING

I ACCEPT

Radical acceptance is the only door to authentic, beneficial change. I accept especially that what is past has passed. Sometimes the most important thing about the past is that it's over.

Acceptance of what is includes acknowledging the truth that the past has passed, that what is current will soon be past, and that the past has no power over me except that which I give it. I accept the arising conditions in my life as what I can digest (EATT) in order to turn the past, into the future that I value and choose.

I RELEASE

I RELEASE the residue of fear from my body from a place of loving acceptance as a demonstration of my commitment to choose love over fear: love of life over fear of death, love of health over fear of sickness, love of doing good over fear of bad, love of bettering my best over fear of failure, love of joy over fear of suffering and misery.

When it comes to Embodied Aliveness Trauma Transformation (EATT) and Optimal Performance it works better to create solutions than it does to fix problems.

I EMBRACE

I EMBRACE what is present - everything is only now. Even suffering about the past or worry about the future only happens NOW. Along with everything else that matters most.

Only Love wins the day.

I CHOOSE

I CHOOSE to do the work using the practical maps, tools, and instructions available to me so that I will accomplish embodied change that is beyond intellectual understanding, new age affirmations, talk therapy shortcomings, and religious guilt and shame.

I do so by asking the Grace and Ease Question, orienting to the JOLKA-GPS, coming from my Creative-IAM, over-writing the Reactive-iWAS, dissolving the Primary Negative glue, and following my Neurochemical Roadmap to the Future (NRF) I value and choose.

Embodied Change vs. Intellectual Understanding

For these choices to be embodied as our new reality, where we no longer need to cope with suffering because we have outgrown it altogether, we must gain access to, rewire, and upgrade our operating system.

By playing the Greatest Game of ALL, we cultivate Embodied Aliveness – using real tools to rewire the body and mind to be congruent with our Spirit. This is how we don't end up in common pitfalls:

  • ❌ "Trading chances", with "icing on shit cake" or "pasting wings on a caterpillar and hoping it will fly"
  • ❌ The existential anxiety and frustration of our intellectual understanding of "wisdom" greatly outpacing our lived experience
  • ❌ Spiritual bypassing, gaslighting ourselves
  • ❌ Playing Whack-a-mole: fix one problem, another pops up

Hey, I'm Michael

Through my personal journey with complex PTSD, a childhood tendency towards severe depression, I came to understand therapy as an important step. As a high-level athlete with ambition and drive to be the best and make the biggest positive impact, I knew I needed to always be in pursuit of optimal performance, despite the hardships associated with traumatic brain injury and a life-threatening medical condition that haunted me for 25 years.
