Even With the Hole Still There
The Surgery Didn't Save Me. I Didn't Build This System to Survive the Hole in My Bucket. I Built It to Thrive In Spite of It.
For 24 years, I lived with a catastrophic, undiagnosed mechanical failure, a six-inch hole in my diaphragm. My stomach and liver were in my chest, crowding my heart and lungs.
I didn't wait for the doctors to fix me so I could feel okay. I had to find the "Thrive" button while the hole was still there. I had to find peace while the pain was still screaming.
The Reality of Unconditional Freedom
